The last section of TOEIC Part 7 gives you 2 or 3 related texts (e.g., an email + a schedule, or an ad + a review + a reply). You answer 5 questions by cross-referencing information between the texts. This is where most candidates lose the most time.
Step 1: Glance at both/all texts to understand the relationship (email about what? responding to what?). Step 2: Read the questions. Step 3: Some questions can be answered from one text alone — answer those first. Step 4: Cross-reference questions need you to find a detail in Text A, then match it in Text B.
Allocate roughly 3-4 minutes per double passage set and 4-5 minutes per triple passage. If you spend too long on one question, mark it and move on — unanswered questions at the end cost more points than a skipped question in the middle.
French speakers try to fully understand both texts before looking at the questions. This wastes 2-3 minutes. Questions first, then targeted reading. You don't need to understand every sentence — just the ones the questions are about.
